About Sphere Ensemble
​Sphere Ensemble is a 14 piece band made up of string players: violin, viola, cello, and bass. We prioritize music by composers that are often overlooked in classical music programs. For much of this music, we have to write our own version. We have a group of amazing arrangers who are also players in the group who help create the music we play. From classical to classic rock, from baroque to hip hop, Sphere always choses music that excites us. Come to a concert, hear more than you expected.

Nothing gets the audience engaged like musicians who are having fun, and you can tell the musicians in Sphere are engaging in a form of high play, plucking strings, drumming, humming, singing. I like Sphere because it’s so different, and it’s not unusual for the audience to join the musicians in the fun.
