The most meaningful part of serving on the Sphere Board for me is getting to see how Sphere concerts come to life behind the scenes far before the first rehearsal! There are so many moving parts that help us musicians get to share what we do on stage and I am grateful to be a part of all that.
​
I've been serving as a Musician Representative on the Board since 2024. When I'm not playing a Sphere concert, I'm likely playing somewhere else, cooking, or spending time outdoors.

I chose to serve on the Sphere board after seeing the impact of their outreach efforts through my work at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Sphere brings the magic and joy of their concerts directly to people who may not otherwise have access to live musical performances. I have seen our clients be entranced listening to haunting melodies by lesser known composers followed by toe tapping and singing along to popular well-known songs.
When not enjoying Sphere’s music, you will find me listening to an eclectic mix of musical genres on my own, often while obsessing over a jigsaw puzzle or knitting yet another unwearable item.

I joined the Sphere board because I was looking for a meaningful way to give back to my community and support the musicians who make Colorado such a vibrant place to live. This is my first year serving on the board, and I'm inspired by Sphere's commitment to creating unique opportunities for musicians and bringing great live music to our wider community.
I work as Director of Development at Parlando School of Musical Arts in Boulder, and I also perform as a pianist and conductor across the Front Range.

The reason I joined the Sphere board is because I think it's important to be a contributing member of my community, as a performer, an audience member, a volunteer, and now, a board member. I actually performed in a Sphere concert during the organization's first seasons and since then, have attended the May concert sets the last three years, as my students had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the ensemble. Passion radiates from Sphere Ensemble's leadership and musicians alike and I am honored to join the board for this special organization.
I am a violinist with the Central City Opera and Opera Colorado orchestras, and perform frequently with Colorado Symphony. I have been a dedicated educator for the past 25 years and recently founded a chamber orchestra for talented young musicians called Con Brio Ensemble. When I'm not involved in musical adventures, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, gardening, and cooking.
